NBA: Portland 84, New Orleans 77

NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum combined for 41 points and 15 rebounds Monday in the Portland Trail Blazers' 84-77 win over New Orleans.

Aldridge put in 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Batum added 19 and six as the Blazers won for the first time in four games.

Gerald Wallace helped overcome a second straight contest without injured center Marcus Camby, donating 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Hornets, meanwhile, lost their fourth straight and fell to 3-10 on the season despite 21 points from Jarrett Jack.

Emeka Okafor contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds for New Orleans.
