NHL: Nashville 4, Philadelphia 2

NASHVILLE, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Martin Erat's power-play goal in the first period put Nashville ahead for good Saturday and the Predators went on to 4-2 win over Philadelphia.

Erat added an assist, while Mike Fisher also posted a goal and an assist for the streaking Predators, who won their fourth straight and seventh in eight games.

Sergei Kostitsyn and Nick Spaling also found the net for Nashville.

Pekka Rinne earned the victory with 36 saves.

Philadelphia got goals from Sean Couturier and Wayne Simmonds, but were saddled with their second loss in six contests.

The Flyers' Ilya Bryzgalov allowed three goals on 24 shots.
