NBA: Houston 103, Sacramento 89

HOUSTON, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Kyle Lowry scored seven of his 25 points during a late third-quarter run Friday that boosted the Houston Rockets to a 103-89 victory over Sacramento.

The Rockets had played five of their previous six games on the road, but came through down the stretch in their return home.

It was a tie game with 3 minutes left in the third period and the Rockets outscored the Kings 12-3 during the rest of the quarter.

Lowry had four free throws and a 3-pointer in that stretch and Houston pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Samuel Dalembert and Luis Scola both had 21 points for the Rockets and they combined for 27 rebounds.

Sacramento, which played the third contest in a five-game road trip, got 27 points from Tyreke Evans.
