Oklahoma City had a three-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, and then inched ahead while taking advantage of the Hornets' struggles from long range. New Orleans made only 1-of-16 from beyond the 3-point arc.

Russell Westbrook added 22 points for the Thunder and James Harden had 15.

Chris Kaman and Carl Landry both had 17 points for New Orleans, which again played without Eric Gordon. He has missed seven of the last eight games with a knee injury.
