NBA: Miami 129, Charlotte 90

MIAMI, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade combined for 46 points for Miami Sunday and the Heat won a fifth straight to start the season with a 129-90 rout of Charlotte.

Bosh netted 24 points to go with 10 rebounds. Wade added 22 as the Heat set a franchise record with a 5-0 mark to begin 2010-11, besting their 4-0 start in 2004-05.

LeBron James, Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers contributed 16 points apiece for Miami, which won to begin a three-game homestand.

Charlotte fell to 1-3 despite 21 points from D.J. White.

Kemba Walker added 17 for the Bobcats, who trailed by as many 46 points in the game.
