NHL: Dallas 4, Boston 2

DALLAS, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Trevor Daley scored and added two assists Saturday in the Dallas Stars' 4-2 win over Boston, snapping the Bruins' seven-game winning streak.

Daley's fourth goal of the season was the second of three early scores for the Stars -- Loui Eriksson and Michael Ryder added power-play goals for Dallas in the first period.

Tom Wandell contributed a goal and an assist, and Jamie Benn chipped in with two assists for the Stars, who broke a two-game losing streak.

Kari Lehtonen earned the win with 18 saves in his second game back following an absence of 12 contests with an injury.

Tyler Seguin and Milan Lucic scored for Boston, which lost for the first time since Dec. 8 and finished December at 9-3-0.

Tim Thomas stopped 23-of-27 shots for the Bruins.
