NFL: San Francisco 26, St. Louis 0

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Frank Gore entered San Francisco's record books as the team's all-time leading rusher with 73 yards Sunday in the 49ers' 26-0 win over St. Louis.

Gore needed only 22 yards to surpass the former mark of 7,344 career yards held by NFL Hall of Famer Joe Perry, and got them with a 2-yard run in the second quarter.

The accomplishment came in a game in which the 49ers (10-2) clinched their first NFC West championship since 2002.

Alex Smith compiled 274 yards and two scoring strikes on 17-of-23 passing efficiency. Four of the completions went to Michael Crabtree for 96 yards and a score.

A.J. Feeley started in place of the injured Sam Bradford for St. Louis, going 12-of-22 through the air for 156 yards and an interception.
