NHL: Winnipeg 4, New Jersey 2

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Mark Stuart scored the go-ahead goal with less than 7 minutes remaining Saturday and the Winnipeg Jets went on best New Jersey 4-2.

Devils goalie Johan Hedberg got a stick on Stuart's shot from the left circle but it bounced off him and into the goal with 6:47 left in the game, breaking a 2-2 tie.

Evander Kane scored in the first period and added an empty-netter. Alex Burmistrov had a short-handed score and Bryan Little had two assists for the Jets.

Ondrej Pavelec made 23 saves as Winnipeg won for the fifth time in six home games.

Adam Henrique and Patrik Elias found the net and Hedberg stopped 16 shots for the Devils.
