NHL: Buffalo 3, Nashville 2

NASHVILLE, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Ryan Miller returned from a long concussion-related layoff Saturday and turned aside 32-of-34 shots, backstopping Buffalo to a 3-2 victory over Nashville.

Miller, making his first appearance since Nov. 12, looked sharp despite being hammered into the boards by Nashville's Jordan Tootoo in the second period.

The goalie came up big in the third period, stopping 16 Predators shots for Buffalo, which went 3-5-1 in their star goaltender's absence.

Luke Adam had a goal and an assist. Zack Kassian and Tyler Ennis also scored for the Sabres.

Craig Smith scored on the power play and David Legwand added a late tally, but it wasn't enough for the Predators.

Anders Lindback stopped 11-of-14 shots in the loss.
