Claxton retains PGA Q School lead

LA QUINTA, Calif., Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Will Claxton held onto his two-shot lead Saturday after four rounds of the PGA Tour Q School, firing a 2-under-par 70.

Claxton has owned at least a piece of the lead throughout the six-round PGA qualifier and ended 72 holes at 15-under-par 273.

Marco Dawson advanced into second place at 13-under 275 with a 5-under 67 Saturday.

Tied for third at minus-11 were Seung-yul Noh (72) and Harris English (70). The latter, who won this year on the Nationwide Tour as an amateur, has never appeared in a PGA Tour event.
