MONTREAL, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Kris Letang scored a disputed goal 2:09 into overtime Saturday, handing the Pittsburgh Penguins a 4-3 victory over Montreal.
Canadiens goaltender Carey Price appeared to have frozen the puck after stopping a backhander by James Neal, but Neal poked it from under his glove and Letang rapped it into the net in for the game-winner.
Price argued he clearly had his hand over the puck before it was dislodged, but no avail, and the Atlantic Division-leading Penguins improved to 14-6-4.
Evegni Malkin had a goal and assist, while Pascal Dupuis and Jordan Staal also scored for the Pens, who battled back from a 3-1 deficit.
Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 24-of-27 shots to record the win.
Travis Moen, Max Pacioretty and Erik Cole found the net and Price finished with 38 saves for the Habs.
