NFL: Oakland 27, Minnesota 21

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Carson Palmer ran for a score and threw for another Sunday, boosting the Oakland Raiders to a 27-21 victory over Minnesota.

Palmer finished with 164 yards through the air, Michael Bush contributed 109 rushing yards with a score and the Raiders' defense picked off three passes in the win.

The Raiders (6-4) took their second straight, holding on as the Vikings scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to get back into the game.

Oakland wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey was taken from the field on a stretcher during the fourth quarter after hitting his head on the knee of Minnesota linebacker E.J. Henderson.

Christian Ponder gained 211 yards and passed for two touchdowns but was done in by three interceptions for the Vikings (2-8).

Star Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson left the game with an ankle injury in the first quarter.
