NHL: Montreal 4, New York Rangers 0

MONTREAL, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Brian Gionta netted a pair of goals and Carey Price logged a shutout Saturday in the Montreal Canadiens' 4-0 decision over the New York Rangers.

Gionta's goal in the second period gave the Habs a 2-0 lead and he wrapped up Montreal's scoring with his seventh of the year in the final frame.

Eric Cole and Tomas Plekanec notched a goal and an assist each for Montreal, which won for the third time in five games.

Price stopped all 17 shots he saw, registering his second shutout of the year and 14th of his career.

Martin Biron turned aside 27-of-31 shots as the Rangers saw their seven-game winning streak snapped.
