NHL: Winnipeg 5, Tampa Bay 2

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Evander Kane and Dustin Byfuglien netted first-period goals Monday and the Winnipeg Jets went on to dominate Tampa Bay 5-2.

The pair also had one assist each while Tim Stapleton joined them with a goal and an assist for the Jets, who broke a five-game skid and snapped a 12-game losing streak to Tampa Bay.

Mark Flood and Andrew Ladd also scored and Ondrej Pavelec stopped 30-of-32 shots for Winnipeg.

The Lightning's Duane Roloson was chased in the second period after yielding four goals on 22 shots. Mathieu Garon relieved and stopped 16-of-17 shots.

Martin St. Louis scored and Steven Stamkos added his 11th goal of the season for the Bolts.
