NFL: New England 37, New York Jets 16

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Nov. 14 (UPI) -- New England's Tom Brady hurled three touchdown passes Sunday and the Patriots punished their AFC rival New York Jets with a 37-16 shellacking.

Brady put the Patriots ahead to stay with an 18-yard scoring strike to Rob Gronkowski with 9 seconds left in the first half and connected with the tight end again on a 5-yard TD pass for a 23-9 lead in the third quarter.

The Pats signal-caller finished 26-of-39 through the air for 329 yards and no interceptions as New England (6-3) broke a two-game losing streak and established a one-game lead over the Jets in the division.

Gronkowski ended with eight catches for 113 yards. Deion Branch added five grabs for 58 yards and a score in the win.

New York's Mark Sanchez completed 20-of-39 passes for 306 yards and a TD but was intercepted twice, including a pick-off that was returned for a touchdown by Rob Ninkovich.

The Jets (5-4) got six catches for 93 yards from Santonio Holmes.
