NHL: Carolina 5, Pittsburgh 3

RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Eric Cole netted the game-winner late in the game Saturday and the Carolina Hurricanes rebounded from a blown lead to down Pittsburgh 5-3.

Carolina led 3-0 in the third period when the Penguins got two goals from Jordan Staal and another from Chris Kunitz to tie it up.

But Cole was positioned at the right of the net and put home the rebound of a Chad LaRose shot for the decisive tally with 4:34 to play. LaRose added an insurance goal 2 minutes later.

Cam Ward made 37 saves for the Hurricanes. Tuomo Ruutu scored twice and Jeff Skinner had a goal and two assists for the winners.

Brent Johnson made 21 stops for the Penguins.
