NHL: Los Angeles 4, Nashville 3

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Jonathan Bernier made 27 saves Tuesday, including 13 in the third period, to lead the Los Angeles Kings past Nashville 4-3.

Simon Gagne's fifth goal of the season in the second period proved to be the game winner for the Kings, who were winless in their last five games.

Gagne was one of four different players to score for the Kings, who scored twice in the second period to pull away from the Predators.

Andres Lindback made 26 saves for Nashville, who had four wins in their last five games. Matt Halischuk, Craig Smith and Patrick Hornqvist scored the Predators' goals.

Alec Martinez and Drew Doughty gave Los Angeles a 2-0 lead in the first period but Nashville knotted the score on goals by Halischuk and Smith.

Mike Richards and Gagne gave the Kings a 4-2 lead in the second period. Hornqvist picked up a late goal at 18:39 of the third to cut the gap to one goal.
