WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Dallas' Michael Ryder netted two goals Tuesday and the Stars stayed hot with a 5-2 victory over Washington.
Jamie Benn contributed a goal and two assists as the Pacific Division-leading Stars notched their fifth win in six games in besting the top team of the Southeast Division.

Adam Burish and Eric Nystrom also found the net and and Kari Lehtonen turned aside 30-of-32 shots to earn the victory.
The Capitals, meanwhile, lost for the first time at home this season.
Michal Neuvirth made 31 saves while Alexander Semin and John Carlson scored for Washington.
