NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Drew Brees tossed a touchdown pass in his 36th straight game Sunday and the New Orleans Saints held on to beat Tampa Bay 27-16.
Brees hooked up with Lance Moore and Darren Sproles on scoring passes in the first two quarters, tying Brett Favre for second place on the all-time NFL list for TD tosses in consecutive games.
Brees finished with 258 yards on 27-of-36 efficiency, extending his own NFL record for consecutive games with at least 20 completions to 29.
Jimmy Graham made six catches for 78 yards for New Orleans (6-3).
Josh Freeman (27-for-37, 281 yards) pulled Tampa Bay (4-4) to within 24-16 with a 5-yard touchdown pass to Kellen Winslow with 5:33 remaining in the game, but that was all the closer the Buccaneers would get.
John Kasay booted his second field goal of the game with 1:17 left to seal the Saints' win.
