NHL: Florida 3, Buffalo 2

BUFFALO, N.Y., Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Tomas Fleischmann and Jason Garrison each netted third-period goals Saturday, rallying the Florida Panthers to a 3-2 win over Buffalo.

Trailing 2-1 with only 4 minutes left in the game, Fleischmann scored the equalizer on a backhander and Garrison's slap-shot goal 2 minutes later handed the Panthers a win.

Jose Theodore made his first start in a week after sustaining a lower body injury and responded by turning aside 24-of-26 shots to earn the victory.

Thomas Vanek and Jason Pominville scored for the Sabres, who lost for only the sixth time in their last 18 meeting with Florida.

Ryan Miller, who was rested during Buffalo's 4-2 win over Columbus Thursday, was back in net Saturday, surrendering three goals on 36 shots.
