Top-seed Azarenka wins at Luxembourg Open

LUXEMBOURG, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Victoria Azarenka of Belarus won Saturday to advance to the Luxembourg Open championship match against Monica Niculescu of Romania.

Azarenka breezed to the finals with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Julia Goerges of Germany following Niculescu's marathon win over England's Anne Keothavong.

Azarenka, who is seeking her third WTA title of the year, saved 78 percent of her break points to 44 percent for Goerges.

Niculescu needed more than 3 hours to finish off Keothavong 7-5, 4-6, 6-3, in an evenly fought match.
