NHL: Ottawa 4, Winnipeg 1

OTTAWA, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Craig Anderson made 35 saves Thursday and blanked Winnipeg over the final two periods while the Ottawa Senators were rallying for a 4-1 win over the Jets.

The Senators ended a three-game losing streak and handed the Jets their fifth loss in six games. Winnipeg let an early lead get away in losing twice in the last two nights.

Milan Michalek scored the first and last Ottawa goals, running his total for the season to five.

Dustin Byfuglien produced the only goal off Anderson with 5:21 to go in the first period, but Michalek tied it on the power play 4:48 into the second. Jason Spezza gave the Senators the lead for good with 6:41 left in the second.

Daniel Alfredsson added to the Ottawa advantage 9:15 into the third and Michalek scored into an empty net with 40 seconds to play in the third.

Ondrej Pavelec made 26 saves in taking the loss.
