MOSCOW, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Lucie Safarova ousted No. 2-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska in three sets Wednesday in a second-round match of the Kremlin Cup tennis tournament.

Safarova claimed a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 decision over Radwanska by winning 70 percent of the points on serve. She lost her serve twice but didn't face a break point in the third set.

The loss had a double sting for Radwanska, who would have been the eighth qualifier for the WTA Championships next week in Turkey with a win. She must wait to see how Marion Bartoli, who kept her Championships hopes alive with a tournament title last week in Japan, finishes in Moscow.

If Bartoli wins the Kremlin Cup, she'll be the eighth WTA Championships qualifier; if she loses, Radwanska will get the invitation. Bartoli goes against Ksenia Pervak in a second-round match Thursday.

Top-seeded Vera Zvonareva breezed to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Bojana Jovanovski in her second-round match Wednesday. Zvonareva didn't face a break point and won 65 percent of the points in the match.

Kaia Kanepi eliminated fourth-seeded Francesca Schiavone 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (9-7) and Vera Dushevina topped Nadia Petrova 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) in other second-round matches.
