NHL: Anaheim 4, St. Louis 2

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 16 (UPI) -- A slap shot by Francois Beauchemin touched off a three-goal outburst early in the third period Sunday that gave Anaheim a 4-2 victory over St. Louis.

The Ducks produced three goals in a span of less than 5 minutes to bring them their third win in a row after they had lost their season opener.

Beauchemin scored 1:31 into the third, Corey Perry tipped in a shot on the power play 2:09 later and Bobby Ryan tallied on a wrist shot with 6:24 having gone by in the stanza.

That turned a tie contest into a 4-1 Anaheim lead and Jonas Hiller turned aside 28 shots to pick up the win.

Ryan also scored in the first period and Patrik Berglund tied it in the second before the Ducks broke things open.

All four goals were allowed by Jaroslav Halak on 23 shots.
