COMMERCE CITY, Colo., Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Nick Rimando made the only two saves of the game Friday and received lots of assistance from the crossbar in helping Real Salt Lake play Colorado to a 0-0 tie.
The Salt Lake goalkeeper looked to be beaten in the 84th minute when Colorado's Caleb Folan sent in a header from the left side of the penalty box. The shot got past Rimando, but it hit the underneath side of the crossbar and stayed out of the goal.
Salt Lake (15-11-7), having already clinched a playoff spot, moved three points in front of Dallas for third place in the Western Conference. Salt Lake has one game remaining in the regular season and Dallas has two.
Colorado (11-9-13) has 46 points and is currently in position to grab the second of the four wild-card playoff berths.
