NHL: Vancouver 3, Columbus 2

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Cody Hodgson and Alexandre Burrows scored third-period goals Monday, rallying the Vancouver Canucks past Columbus 3-2.

Trailing 2-1 entering the final period, the Canucks got the equalizer 2 minutes into the frame when Hodgson picked up a loose puck in the left circle and sent a wrist shot past Columbus goalie Steve Mason.

Burrows added the decisive goal on a power play with 8:29 gone, poking home the rebound of Daniel Sedin's wrap-around try.

Chris Higgins scored and Cory Schneider turned aside 23-of-25 shots in Vancouver's victory.

Cam Atkinson and Vinny Prospal lit the lamp for the Blue Jackets and Mason ended with 22 saves for Columbus.
