Baghdatis won nearly two-thirds of the points off Troicki's serve. Troicki had his serve broken just three times in his other two matches this week.

No. 3-seeded Janko Tipsarevic earned the other place in the final, topping Kei Nishikori 6-4, 6-3. Tipsarevic improved to 5-0 lifetime versus Nishikori.

Nishikori forced six break points on Tipsarevic but Tipsarevic saved them all while cashing in three of the four break opportunities he had on Nishikori.

Tipsarevic is looking for his first ATP title. He's 0-4 in tournament finals, including losses this year at Eastbourne, England, and Delray Beach, Fla. Baghdatis, with four career championships, is appearing in his first final since losing at Moscow to Troicki last October.
