MIAMI, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Bryan Petersen hit a game-winning homer in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday, boosting the Florida Marlins past Washington 3-2.

Emilio Bonifacio went 2-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and scored the score-tying run in the sixth on a wild pitch by Nationals starter John Lannan.

Javier Vazquez (13-11) tossed a complete-game victory, holding the Nats to two runs on five hits while issuing no walks and fanning nine in the Marlins' second-to-last game at Sun Life Stadium.

The team will play in a new, baseball-only facility in downtown Miami beginning next year.
