ATLANTA, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Bill Haas, who won the Tour Championship and the FedExCup, moves to 20th in the latest men's world golf rankings.
Haas' playoff win over Hunter Mahan gave him the title in what is virtually the final PGA event of the season. Haas was 45th at the start of the tournament.
With just a few events left on the 2011 schedule it appears that Luke Donald has locked up the No. 1 ranking for 2011. Donald tied for third at the Tour Championship, finishing a stroke out of the Haas-Mahan playoff, and has a rankings points average of 10.712.
Phil Mickelson (5.685) and Adam Scott (5.641) had Top 10 finishes at the Tour Championship and are each up one place to eighth and ninth, respectively. That forces Matt Kuchar (5.594) from eighth to 10th.
Kenneth Ferrie won the Austrian Open Sunday for his first title in more than six years. That rockets him from 355th in the rankings to No. 200.
