MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 7, Pittsburgh 2

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- James Loney highlighted a game-breaking, four-run sixth inning with a three-run homer Friday, lifting the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 7-2 win over Pittsburgh.

The Dodgers were clinging to a 3-2 lead before producing their big inning and bringing Hiroki Kuroda his fifth win in seven starts.

Kuroda (12-16) turned in a six-inning effort, allowing a lone earned run on five hits with seven strikeouts.

Los Angeles loaded the bases in the sixth on consecutive one-out singles by Russ Mitchell, Jamey Carroll and Aaron Miles.

Dee Gordon then grounded into a fielder's choice that brought home Mitchell and Loney, batting for Justin Sellers, next drove his 10th homer of the season to right field.

Jeff Locke (0-2) made his second major league start for Pittsburgh and he has lost them both. Locke gave up three runs on five hits in three innings.
