MLB: Arizona 5, LA Dodgers 4 (11 innings)

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- A bases-loaded walk to Chris Young in the 11th inning Tuesday gave the Arizona Diamondbacks a 5-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Young took four consecutive pitches from Dodgers' closer Javy Guerra (2-1) before trotting to first while Miguel Montero strolled home with the tie-breaker.

Guerra retired the first two batters in the inning before his control evaporated and he threw 13 straight balls.

J.J. Putz was able to close out the Dodgers for his 40th save. Micah Owings (7-0) picked up the win in relief.

Arizona has won six of its last seven games and cut its magic number in the National League West to six games.

Montero homered and drove in three runs for the Diamondbacks. Gerardo Parra tied the game with a two-out solo home run in the seventh.

James Loney, Aaron Miles and Jerry Sands drove in the Dodgers' runs.
