MLB: St. Louis 6, Atlanta 3

ST. LOUIS, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Yadier Molina went 3-for-4 and highlighted a big third inning with a two-run double Sunday, propelling St. Louis to a 6-3 win and a sweep of Atlanta.

Albert Pujols and Lance Berkman also drove in runs in the five-run third for the Cardinals, who notched their season-best fifth straight win and pulled to within 4 1/2 games of National League wild card-leading Atlanta.

Jake Westbrook (12-8) earned the win with 5 1/3 solid innings, allowing two runs on five hits while walking one and fanning four.

Braves starter Tim Hudson (14-10) was roughed up for six runs on eight hits through six frames as Atlanta lost for the eighth time in 11 games.

Chipper Jones went 2-for-4 with a solo homer for the Braves.
