MLS: Vancouver 1, New York 1 (tie)

HARRISON, N.J., Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Juan Agudelo scored for New York in the 68th minute Saturday, helping Red Bull avoid a loss by tying the Vancouver Whitecaps FC 1-1.

Agudelo, a second-half substitute, got the equalizer when he tapped in a pass from Rafa Marquez.

However, the tie extended New York's winless streak to eight games.

Vancouver had jumped out front 1-0 when Davide Chiumiento in the 23rd minute.

The Whitecaps had just missed scoring in the 8th minute when Camilo raced past the Red Bull defense to score only to have the goal disallowed on a ruling he committed a foul in the build-up.
