CHICAGO, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Alex Rios bashed a game-winning grand slam in the bottom of the 10th inning Saturday, boosting the Chicago White Sox to a 7-3 win over Cleveland.
Juan Pierre doubled off Indians closer Chris Perez (3-7) to lead off the 10th. After Paul Konerko was intentionally walked, Perez issued an unintentional pass to Tyler Flowers, setting up Rios' bases-filled smash.
The homer made a winner of Sergio Santos (4-4), who hurled a scoreless top of the 10th.
Phil Humber started and went six innings, yielding only two runs on seven hits for the White Sox, who took their second win in three games against the Indians.
Shelley Duncan socked a solo homer and Matt LaPorta contributed a two-run double for the Tribe.
