MLB: Cleveland 8, Chicago White Sox 4

CHICAGO, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Lonnie Chisenhall hit two-run homers in both the second and sixth innings Friday, powering the Cleveland Indians to an 8-4 victory over the Chicago White Sox.

The Indians ended a four-game losing streak while the White Sox slipped a distant 9 1/2 games behind Detroit for the lead in the American League Central.

Chisenhall's first homer put Cleveland in front, but the White Sox came back to tie it in the second.

Cleveland then took charge with a five-run sixth that was touched off by Chisenhall's second blast. Ezequiel Carrera singled home a run later in the inning and Kosuke Fukudome added a two-run double.

Jeanmar Gomez (3-2) allowed two runs on six hits in six innings to collect the victory.

The loss went to Mark Buehrle (11-8), who was roughed up for seven runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings.
