SAN DIEGO, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Pablo Sandoval cracked a pair of homers and Madison Bumgarner racked up 13 strikeouts Monday in the San Francisco Giants' 7-2 win over San Diego.

Bumgarner (10-12) was dominating, allowing just one run on six hits over 8 1/3 innings for the Giants, who were coming off a streak of five losses in their previous seven games.

Cody Ross chipped in with three hits, including two doubles, and two RBI for the San Francisco.

San Diego's Tim Stauffer (8-12) was saddled with the defeat, yielding four runs on seven hits over six innings.

The Padres, losers of 10 of 11 games, got a home run from Nick Hundley.
