PGA strikes new CBS, NBC deals

NORTON, Mass., Sept. 1 (UPI) -- The PGA Tour has new television deals with CBS and NBC, Commissioner Tim Finchem announced Thursday at the Deutsche Bank Championship.

The new 9-year pacts will both run from 2013 through the 2021 season. Current agreements with both networks expire at the end of 2012.

Terms of the CBS and NBC deals were not disclosed.

The tour said there would be few schedule changes -- CBS will broadcast the same 20 tournaments annually, NBC about 10.
