NEW HAVEN, Conn., Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Top-ranked Caroline Wozniacki dispatched Czech qualifier Petra Cetkovska in straight sets Saturday, winning her fourth straight New Haven Open.

Wozniacki cruised past Cetkovska 6-4, 6-1, becoming only the 10th woman in the Open Era to win the same event in four consecutive years -- the first since Venus Williams also won at New Haven from 1999-2002.

The world No. 1 improved to 17-0 in her career at Yale University and won her sixth title of the year. She moved to 18-10 lifetime in title matches and gained momentum heading in to next week's U.S. Open.

Cetkovska, meanwhile, lost in her first career final.

The Dane's victory came after the start time for Saturday's final was moved up 4 hours to 1 p.m. due to the looming Hurricane Irene.
