BALTIMORE, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Baltimore wide receiver Tandon Doss said he broke up a fight at a downtown restaurant hours before a Ravens' game against the Washington Redskins.
"I saw somebody start fighting and I broke it up," the rookie wide receiver out of Indiana University told The Baltimore Sun after the team's 34-31 win Thursday. "That's all it was to me."
Police said two men, one believed to have been angry about getting fired, attacked the 34-year-old manager of a Five Guys restaurant with a knife.
Doss sent a message to his fans on Twitter: "Jus had to break up a fight at five guys. Baltimore is too ratchet!!!"
The two men, both former employees, then fled the restaurant, Baltimore police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said.
The manager suffered a minor cut to the chin and was treated at a hospital and released, Guglielmi said.
Someone on Twitter asked Doss why he risked getting in a fight on the day of a game.
Doss responded he didn't care "wat day it is I'm not gonna sit there and let someone get jumped. [I don't know] where ur from but we don't do that in Indy."
