ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Johnny Damon cracked a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday, handing Tampa Bay an 8-7 win and a three-game sweep of Seattle.
Damon launched a shot on the first pitch of the ninth from Dan Cortes (0-2) for the game-winner. He also delivered a bases-clearing double in the double that capped a four-run seventh for the Rays.

John Jaso contributed two RBI as the streaking Rays posted their fifth win a row.
The victory went to Kyle Farnsworth (5-1), who hurled a perfect ninth.
Casper Wells and Wily Mo Pena each connected for two-run homers in Seattle's fifth straight loss.
