MLB: Milwaukee 11, New York Mets 9

NEW YORK, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Casey McGehee delivered a ninth-inning, two-run single Saturday and the Milwaukee Brewers rallied past the New York Mets 11-9 after blowing a big lead.

Milwaukee used homers from Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder and Yuniesky Betancourt to build a 7-1 lead, but the Mets scored the next eight runs to grab a 9-7 advantage in the eighth.

Jason Isringhuasen (3-3) and Manny Acosta couldn't hold the lead, however. They yielded fours in the ninth, capped by McGehee's base hit to drive in Corey Hart and pinch-hitter Mark Kotsay.

Francisco Rodriguez (5-2) earned the victory against his former Mets teammates despite allowing three runs in the eighth, two of them on Angel Pagan's homer.

John Axford notched his 37th save for Milwaukee.

The first-place Brewers moved 8 1/2 games in front of St. Louis in the National League Central -- the largest divisional lead for the club in team history.

Pagan finished 3-for-5 and Lucas Duda drove in a pair for the Mets.
