Ambrose takes 2nd win in five days

MONTREAL, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Marcos Ambrose claimed the NAPA Auto Parts 200 Nationwide Series race in Montreal Sunday, only five days after winning a Sprint Cup race at Watkins Glen, N.Y.

Ambrose's big week was capped at Montreal despite having to start from the rear of the field due to missing Friday's qualifying session.

Owen Kelly filled in for Ambrose, practicing and qualifying his No. 9 Ford for Richard Petty Motorsports.

Ambrose first took the lead after a restart with 10 laps left, then held off Canadian Alex Tagliani by 1.1 seconds for his fourth career Nationwide win -- his first three wins came at Watkins Glen from 2008-10.

Finishing third was Michael McDowell, followed by Steve Wallace and another Canadian, J.R. Fitzpatrick.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who ended 26th after engine trouble, posted an eight-point lead over Reed Sorenson in the Nationwide standings.
