MLS: Chicago 2, New York 2 (tie)

HARRISON, N.J., Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Joel Lindpere's goal in the 64th minute Saturday salvaged a point for New York, pulling the Red Bulls into a 2-2 draw with Chicago.

Dane Richards sent a quick pass into the box that found Lindpere, and the Estonian got off a one-timer that beat a helpless Sean Johnson for the equalizer.

Thierry Henry opened the scoring in the 9th minute for New York (6-6-13), which took sole possession of third place in the Eastern Conference with 31 points.

Dominic Oduro and Sebastian Grazzini responded to Henry's early tally, putting Chicago (2-7-14) in front 2-1 before halftime.
