MLB: Milwaukee 1, Pittsburgh 0

MILWAUKEE, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Yuniesky Betancourt homered in the second inning Saturday and the single run was enough to carry the Milwaukee Brewers to a 1-0 win over Pittsburgh.

The victory went to Marco Estrada (3-7), who made an emergency start in place of the injured Chris Narveson. Estrada hurled five shutout innings, allowing just one hit while striking out five.

Takashi Saito, LaTroy Hawkins, Francisco Rodriguez and John Axford combined for four scoreless relief innings as the National League Central-leading Brewers won for the eighth time in nine games.

Pirates starter Kevin Correia (12-11) took the hard-luck loss, yielding only one run on seven hits with three walks and three strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings.

The Bucs lost for the 13th time in 15 games.
