AKRON, Ohio, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Australian Adam Scott's 4-under 66 Saturday was good enough to maintain a one-shot lead after three rounds of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
The seven-time PGA Tour winner finished the round at 12-under 198, one better than countryman Jason Day (66) and Ryo Ishikawa (64) after Saturday's play on the South Course at Firestone Country Club.
Scott, who also has seven career European Tour victories under his belt, has won five of the previous seven times he owned a piece of the 54-hole lead on the PGA Tour.
But he has history going against him -- the third-round leader has gone on to win the WGC-Bridgestone only seven of the last 12 times.
Second-round co-leader Keegan Bradley fired a 2-under 68 and finished the day tied for fourth with Martin Laird (67).
Seven-time champion Tiger Woods, meanwhile, continued to stumble, bogeying the 16th and 18th holes en route a 72 while falling to 1-over 211.
