PHILADELPHIA, July 31 (UPI) -- Raul Ibanez homered twice and drove in the game-winning run in the 10th inning Sunday, handing Philadelphia a 6-5 decision over Pittsburgh.
Ibanez launched a solo shot in the second inning and added a two-run homer in the eighth that rallied the Phillies to a 5-5 tie.
Then in the 10th, newly-acquired Hunter Pence stroked a one-out double and Ibanez lined a shot into the right-center field gap off Tony Watson (0-2) that rolled to wall and easily scored Pence with the game-winner.
Anthony Bastardo (4-0) earned with the victory with a scoreless top of the 10th for the first-place Phillies, who swept a three-game set from Pittsburgh and improved to a major league-best 68-39.
Lyle Overbay socked a two-run homer in the sixth that gave the Pirates a 4-3 lead. They made it 5-3 in the next frame on Garrett Jones' RBI double.
The Pirates fell 4 1/2 games behind National League Central-leading Milwaukee with the setback.
