MLB: Florida 3, Atlanta 1

ATLANTA, July 31 (UPI) -- Ricky Nolasco earned a victory despite allowing 12 hits and Greg Dobbs drove in the go-ahead run Sunday in Florida's 3-1 decision over Atlanta.

Nolasco (8-7) yielded a dozen hits but allowed only one run, didn't issue a walk and struck out four in a 6 2/3-inning start, aided by a pair of double plays turned by the Marlins infield.

Edward Mujica followed with 1 1/3 scoreless frames and Leo Nunez got his 30th save as the Marlins avoided a three-game sweep at the hands of the Braves.

Dobbs broke a 1-1 tie with a third-inning RBI double and Emilio Bonifacio added an insurance run with solo homer in the fifth.

Tommy Hanson (11-6) was saddled with the loss for Atlanta, allowing three runs on six hits over six frames.

Jose Constanza went 3-for-5 with a run scored for Atlanta.
