MLB: Colorado 3, Los Angeles Dodgers 1

LOS ANGELES, July 28 (UPI) -- Troy Tulowitzki drove in two runs Wednesday and John Cook won his second straight game in the Colorado Rockies 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Cook (2-5), who has been on and off the Colorado roster for the last decade with 198 starts to show for it, lost his first five decisions of the season before coming up with victories over Arizona and Los Angeles.

He gave up six hits over seven shutout innings before giving way to Rex Brothers in the eighth. Huston Street came on in the ninth and gave up a home run to Rod Barajas before finishing off his 27th save.

Tulowitzki had RBI singles in both the fifth and ninth innings. He scored the other Colorado run in the seventh on a double by Ty Wigginton.

The loss went to Hiroki Kuroda (6-13), who surrendered a lone run on six hits in six innings.
