Both teams scored a run in the sixth and it remained deadlocked until Atlanta broke through against Chris Leroux (1-1), who was making only his sixth relief appearance of the season.

Nate McLouth opened the 10th with a single and, after Martin Prado flew out to right, Freddie Freeman singled McLouth to third.

Dan Uggla was walked intentionally to load the bases and Ross hit the first pitch from Leroux into left for the game-winning hit.

Ross singled in Atlanta's other run in the sixth after Garrett Jones had given Pittsburgh the lead in the top of the inning with his 10th homer.

Scott Linebrink (4-2) got the win by working the top of the 10th.

Atlanta 's Jair Jurrjens worked seven innings and endured his third straight no-decision after winning four straight starts.
