INDIANAPOLIS, July 26 (UPI) -- While there's concern four-time NFL MVP Peyton Manning will be ready to start the season, the Indianapolis Colts are ready to make him the top-paid player.
Manning is recovering from neck surgery on May 23 to repair a disc in his neck and wasn't able to work out with his receivers during the four-month lockout. The Colts open the regular season Sept. 11 at Houston.
